Our 43rd Annual Festival of the Sea is tomorrow along with the long awaited return of ElksFest! The weather is going to be absolutely gorgeous, so there’s no excuse not to come out and have an amazing meal in the “Seafood Capital of New Jersey”, Point Pleasant Beach! Thank you to Reporter Jim Murdoch and News 12 New Jersey for the great story… and for loving my sports jacket. They clearly have good taste!
“I can’t believe that I have to be here. I’m the mayor of a 4,500-person town, one and a half square miles, and you guys are about to spend more taxpayer money on giving an international corporation who can’t manage their own budget the ability to come in and destroy my town at the Jersey Shore and our entire tourism economy,” said Point Pleasant Beach Mayor Paul M. Kanitra.
"They just do a wonderful job of helping those who've already served and helped us and helped this country and now really need help," Kanitra said. "They're involved with the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, so they're part of a larger nationwide network and they have all of the resources that that brings to bear as well.”
